Apple introduces 64-bit iPhone 5S with fingerprint scanner and a low-cost iPhone 5C with five elegant colours

Apple finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphone – the iPhone 5S. Dubbed as the "Most Forward-Thinking Smartphone in the World", the new iPhone 5S features an all-new A7 chip, the first smartphone to use a 64-bit processor, making its performance 40 times better than the original iPhone. The iPhone 5S features not only a desktop-class architecture, a notable thin and light design but also an all-new 8-megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash, the new security feature Touch ID and an M7 motion co-processor that continuously measures data from the smartphone's sensors without waking up itself.

iPhone 5S – Forward thinking.

The iPhone 5S comes with the re-engineered mobile platform – iOS 7. Apple's most advanced mobile operating system features a ton of great new features, including the Control Center, Notification Center, improved Multitasking and AirDrop function, a more enhanced Photos, Safari even Siri, and introduces the free Internet radio service – iTunes Radio.

The new iPhone 5S will be available in gold, silver and gray space in selected countries on September 20, priced at $199 for the 16GB model, $299 and $399 for the 32GB and 64GB model respectively.

Alongside the sleek iPhone 5S, Apple also introduced the budget-friendly and most colorful iPhone yet – the iPhone 5C, featuring an all-new design and bundled as well with great features like the iPhone 5. It comes in five different colors: blue, green, pink, yellow and white.

iPhone 5C – For the colorful.

iPhone 5C is basically the iPhone 5 packed in a plastic. It features the iPhone 5S predecessor's A6 processor, a 4-inch Retina display, 8-megapixel iSight camera, new FaceTime HD camera, LTE bands, and also comes with iOS 7.

The iPhone 5C will also be available first in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK on the 20th of September, for a retail price of $99 for the 16GB unit and $199 for the 32GB model. Apple will be shipping the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in 100 countries more late this year.

iOS 7 – The mobile OS from a whole new perspective.

iOS 7, Apple's next version of its mobile platform will be available for free download on September 18.

  4. Ya'r right! Just hours before Apple expected to unveil its new flagship smartphone, a quick start guide surfaced claiming an iPhone 5S with the Touch ID sensor. Spoiler do spoil the story.

  5. Maybe the Touch ID is not a fingerprint scanner but a home button that reads your finger and don't actually need a deep press.

  6. Stop the argument, Apple will soon release the Touch ID's API and app developers will get access to the said feature and confirm if it's really a fingerprint sensor or not. Let us see the development possibilities.
