Huawei Ascend Mate 7 showcases 6-inch ultra HD display, a fingerprint scanner and an octa-core processor

Huawei showcased yet another set of new devices at the IFA 2014 tech exhibition in Berlin, one of which is the Ascend Mate 7, its latest flagship smartphone.

The high-end Ascend Mate 7 sports a gorgeous 6-inch display with sharp 2560 x 1600 screen resolution. This huge Huawei smartphone is engineered in an all-metal sleek body which is kind of similar like the HTC One Max. Enclosed in its matte metal and curvy back is an octa-core processor, one quad-core unit for basic tasks and the other half essential for complex stuff like gaming and media streaming. Along with powerful processor, the Acend Mate 7 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a wide aperture, which promises good prints in low-light settings and a huge 8-megapixel front-facing camera, obviously for a crispier selfie portraits.

Ascend Mate 7 also feature a Cat 6 LTE which provides a faster 4G LTE connection and its own fingerprint scanner mainly used to unlock the device and to authorize secure mobile payments, which sits directly beneath the camera.

The slim Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will be available in three different hues; the silver, charcoal grey and light gold much like the color of the recently introduced set of larger iPhones. The Ascend Mate 7 is powered by a massive 4,000mAh battery to compensate its ultra high-definition display and the octa-core CPU. The beast Huawei smartphone comes with the latest Android 4.4 OS and ships soon this coming October.

With a powerful and impressive features as well as geared with superior materials, although there’s no word yet on the handset’s price from the China brand, it will surely burn a hole in your pocket.
