Google now highlights the marine life and its ecosystems with new Street View imagery

It’s obvious, the search giant wants Google Maps’ feature Street View to get everywhere around the globe and this time around, into the deep, blue oceans.

From now on, you will see crisp imagery of the Earth’s blue pools with the Street View, in line with the celebration of the World Oceans Day last 8th of June. The project which took up a 4-year partnership between Google and some of the biggest organizations like XL Catlin Seaview Survey, NOAAand Chagos Conservation Trust, is to highlight not only the wonders of the rich, marine diversity but also a way to inform humans what are the damages will they cause if they keep on neglecting the vital role of the ecosystem.

Through GPS, Google is building a timeline of images that will show the situation of the marine life and its ecosystems.
